Bucyrus Little Theatre Announces Exciting Slate Of Shows For 2023-24 Season
Bucyrus Little Theatre has officially announced its full slate of shows for the 2023-24 season. Members of the Bucyrus Little Theatre will receive one ticket to each of these shows plus the opportunity to make a reservation for a preferred seat and one additional seat one week prior to tickets going on sale to the general public. October Is For Misery
The season kicks off in October with Misery, written by William Goldman and based on the novel by Stephen King. This show, which will take place October 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2023 is directed by Scott Painter and produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
Misery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, who is rescued from a car crash by his "number one fan," Annie Wilkes, and wakes up captive in her secluded home. While Paul is convalescing, Annie forces him to write a new Misery Chastain novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depends on it ... and it does.
Season's Greetings & Plaid Tidings
Just in time for the 2023 holiday season, Plaid Tidings, written by Stewart Ross with arrangements by James Raitt, will grace the Bucyrus Little Theatre stage December 1-3 and 8-10, 2023. Directed by Rick Walker and produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International, Inc., audiences will enjoy an exciting show featuring the best of Forever Plaid, the vocal quartet that comes back to life once a year - this time tied up in a nifty package with a big Christmas bow on top! Filled with holiday standards that have all been "Plaid-erized," the boys are back to do their Christmas Special.
Looking For A Side Of Murder With Your Spring Mystery?
Those looking to throw off the winter blues are in for a treat March 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 2024, when the Bucyrus Little Theatre presents Drop Dead! written by Billy Van Zant & Jane Milmore and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
Jason Chandler takes the reigns of the show as director as a cast of has-been actors hope to revive their careers in Drop Dead!, a potboiler murder mystery directed by "Broadway Wonder," Victor Le Pewe. At the dress rehearsal someone is murdered, but the show must go on! The remaining thespians try to save the show and their careers, solve the mystery, and stay alive for curtain calls.

A Seussical Season Finale
Bucyrus Little Theatre's final show of the 2023-24 season is Seusical, The Musical, written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International. Directed by Cindy Light, performance dates are slated for May 10-12 and 17-19, 2024. Audition dates are TBD.
A musical perfect for the whole family, Seussical takes us into the world of Dr. Seuss. The Cat in the Hat guides us to the Jungle of Nool where we meet Horton, the kind-hearted elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whoville. Horton decides he must protect the speck of dust on a nearby clover, while at the same time protecting an abandoned egg left to his care by the lazy Mayzie la Bird.
