Meet Me in St. Louis

Four attractive sisters are all
blazing with excitement over
the wonderful World's Fair
that is about to open in St.
Louis. The girls are also in a
state about the love life of their only brother, whom
they suspect of ditching his sweet hometown girl
for a snob from the East. In the midst of the sisters'
humorous maneuvers to rule (or ruin) their
brother's new romance, Father finally breaks in with
a life changing announcement that means leaving
their home in St. Louis and missing the
fair. The girls then decide they must take action.
Cast requirements are as follows:
Mr. Smith - 40ish
Mrs. Smith - 40ish
Long Smith - 19
Rose Smith - 18
Esther Smith - 17 (The Judy Garland part)
Agnes Smith - 12, tomboy
Tootie Smith - 6 or 7
Grandpa Prophater - Civil War veteran
Katie - their Irish housekeeper
John Truitt - handsome boy next door
Warren Sheffield - Rose's suitor
Lucille Ballard - sophisticated young lady from NY
Eve - Lon's date
Postman - middle aged
Motorman - Runs the trolley
Clinton Badger, Peewee Drummond, Sidney Purvis - three awkward suitors for Esther
Men, women, and children of the ensemble
All tryouts will be at
ST. PAUL'S LUTHERAN CHURCH,
130 S. WALNUT, BUCYRUS, OHIO
Saturday March 3 at 2:30 p.m. KIDS only
Sunday March 4 at 6:30 p.m. adults (HS on up)
People should bring a PREPARED song. and be ready to read from the script as well as do some simple dance steps.
